Cape Town – Its 1500 IT20 runs for Jos Buttler. Helping England to a 3-0 series win over South Africa, Jos passed the 1500 run mark when reaching 16 in his innings of 67no.
South Africa set a testing target of 192, yet England ran out comfortable winners by 9 wickets in the eighteenth over. The key to victory was a second-wicket 167 run partnership between Dawid Malan (99no) and Jos.
While Malan was the star turn, Jos kept him company scoring his 67 (5 sixes, 3 fours) off 46 balls.
Jos has now scored 1551 IT20 runs over 74 matches. Along the way, he has passed 50 on 10 occasions with a top score of 77no.
After England’s success in the IT20 series, attention now turns to the ODIs which start on Friday 4 December at Newlands.
