7000 T20 Runs for Jos

It’s now 7000 T20 runs for Jos Buttler. Jos passed this batting milestone when hitting a 39 ball 59 in England’s 45 run win over Pakistan.

Batting first England were dismissed for 200 with one ball of their innings remaining.

Jos led the way, scoring his fourteenth IT20 half-century. His 59 runs included 7 fours and 2 sixes. With his score on 52, Jos passed 7000 T20 runs. Over the course of his innings, Jos shared two crucial partnerships. Together with Moeen Ali (36) he added 67. Before Liam Livingstone (38) and Jos added 52 for the fourth wicket.

Liam continued where he left off when smashing his maiden IT20 century in the first match of the series at Trent Bridge. Before he was run out for 38, Liam hit two of his three sixes clean out of Headingley.

Pakistan were quickly out of the traps. Yet, as the innings progressed the English spinners applied pressure to the Pakistan batters and restricted their scoring opportunities.

Pakistan ended their innings on 155-9. The series is now level with one match remaining.
