Matt Critchley now has 860 runs in the 2021 County Championship.
Matt added to his run tally after scoring a second innings 59* to help Derbyshire secure a draw against Leicestershire.
This was Matt’s seventh half-century in the LV= Insurance County Championship this season.
After following on, crease occupancy was crucial for the Derbyshire batters. Matt kept to the script. His 59* was scored off 128 balls over the course of 145 minutes.
With captain Billy Godleman (100*) Matt added 139 for the fourth wicket. The pair making sure the match was drawn as Derbyshire finishing on 203-3.
Matt’s total of 860 runs makes him Derbyshire’s current leading run scorer. He also stands fifth in the table for this season’s leading County Championship run scorers.
