A Sixer, One Century and 8000 Runs

Last week was a good week for James Vince. He became a Sydney Sixer (again), scored a second innings century vs Somerset and passed 8000 County Championship runs.

In the County Championship game vs. Somerset James helped Hampshire to secure their fifth win of the season with a knock of 142 (22 fours). If that was not enough, he also passed 8000 County Championship runs when he reached 137.

It was also announced that James would return for his second stint with the Sydney Sixers after appearing for the franchise in BBL 08.

Commenting on the Sixers website James said he was “delighted to be returning to the Sixers for BBL 09.”  He added “having lost out in the semis in BBL 08 I’m hoping we can go all the way this time around.”
