Josh Philippe, James Vince and Moises Henriques got Sydney Sixers BBL 11 campaign off to a winning start.
Josh (83), James (44) and Moises (76) contributed 203 runs as the Sixers posted 213-4 in their overwhelming defeat of Melbourne Stars.
The Sixers were given the best possible start in their pursuit of a third consecutive BBL title. Josh and James took the shine off the Stars bowlers with the openers hitting 90 runs for the first wicket.
After James departed for 44, Moises carried on the onslaught together with Josh. The pair adding 102 for the second wicket.
Josh’s excellent 47 ball 83 (3 sixes, 8 fours) rightly was rewarded with the Player of the Match award.
