Day 3 of the first #raisethebat test vs. West Indies and Ben Stokes passes another career milestone. When dismissing Alzarri Joseph, Ben achieved the double of taking 150 wickets and scoring 4000 plus runs in test matches.
Ben became just the fifth player to join an elite group of players achieving this particular double.
Sir Garfield Sobers was the quickest player to claim the 150 wickets and 4000 runs double. While Ben’s own double was claimed in 64 tests – just one more.
Ben joins Sir Ian Botham, Kapil Dev, Jacques Kallis and Daniel Vettori, as-well-as Sir Garfield, in this elite group of players.
West Indies made 318 in their first innings, Ben taking 4-49 in a 14 over spell.
