Back In The T20 Groove

After playing in two recent Test series, Jos Buttler is back in the T20 groove. Jos’ straight-six gave England a 6 wicket win over Australia. England now have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Out in the middle from the first ball of England’s innings to the final blow, Jos’ 77no saw England home.

Yet again, Jos showed he is amongst the top white-ball batters in the world. Chasing 158, his batting was paced to see England through to the end. There were razzle-dazzle shots from Jos, but this innings was in tune with the rhythm of the game. With Jos signing off with that final matching winning 6 off Adam Zampa.

Aided at the other end by Dawid Malan (42) the pair added 87 for the second wicket, before the loss of two cheap wickets. With 7 balls to spare, Jos and Moen Ali (13no) confidently sealed England’s victory.

Not unexpectedly, Jos was named Player of the Match.

On Twitter, Neil Fairbrother posted, “A masterclass from @josbuttler!! The tempo of his innings and most importantly, seeing his team home, a batsman doing his job with intelligence and skill!! Brilliant…”
