Canberra – Bashing yet more runs in BBL 10, Josh Philippe helped Sydney Sixers to another win with the bat. Taking on Sydney Thunder, Josh hit 64 off 36 balls in the Sixers five wicket victory at the Manuka Oval.
In the first Sydney Smash of BBL 10, the Thunder scored 166-6 off their 20 overs. After rain intervened, the Duckworth Lewis Stern Method came into play and the Sixers were asked to chase 129 off 14 overs.
Quick out of the blocks, Josh and Justin Avendano (17) added 50 for the Sixers first wicket off 3.5 overs.
Josh guided the Sixers to the cusp of victory, his 64 (2 sixes, 7 fours) taking just 36 balls. Josh now heads the run scorer list for BBL 10 with 337 runs.
The Sixers top the BBL with 16 points, while the Thunder lie second, a point behind.
