Ben Commits to Durham

Chester-le-Street – Ben Stokes signs a three-year contract extension with Durham. The 29 March announcement, commits Ben to the Emirates Riverside, until 2021.

A one-county player, Ben’s ListA debut was vs. Surrey in 2009, his first County Championship game coming in the following year.

Speaking to durhamcricket.co.uk Ben said, “I love playing for Durham and am delighted to be signing a new long-term deal at the County where I learned my trade”

In 2018, Ben made six appearances for Durham. The highlight being a 68 ball 90no. (S-Rate 132.35). His importance to England, in both red and white formats, limiting his county appearances. He returned for England during the series win vs. India in 2018. Then played in the successful tour of Sri Lanka, before the 2019 series vs West Indies.

One of the best allrounders in global cricket, Ben is presently, playing for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL before his return in May.
