Career Best 84

Surrey’s Nick Kimber scored a ListA career best 84 in a nail-biting tie with Warwickshire in the Royal London Cup.

Requiring 294, Surrey’s chase was floundering before Nick gave the innings some much needed impetus. He hit 6 fours and 6 sixes (including 3 in over over off Rob Yates) before falling with 31 runs still needed.

A quick-fire 34 by Matt Dunn levelled the scores. Yet, victory was denied when Dunn became the last Surrey batter to fall in the final over.
