Central Contracts

Zak Crawley has been awarded his first Central Contract. The ECB announced that Zak will join Joe Root, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes on the list of centrally contracted Test players.

Zak’s first year in Test cricket culminated in a wonderful 267 in the final Test vs Pakistan back in August. It is no surprise that Zak has been awarded a Central Contract. In the same Test, Jos produced career-best Test innings of 152, adding 359 for the fifth wicket with Zak.

During a truncated international season, Stuart joined an exclusive group of bowlers who have taken 500 Test wickets. He is only the second England bowler, after James Anderson, to reach this milestone.

Joe led the Men’s Test team to two series victories over the West Indies and Pakistan. While Ben yet again made the headlines by helping to set-up a second Test victory vs. the West Indies,  with a first innings 176 and then a quick-fire 78no.

Jos, Joe and Ben also have been awarded white-ball Central Contracts.
