Ed Pollock’s First 50 in 2019

Leicester – Ed Pollock’s first 50 of 2019 came in the Royal London Cup match vs. Leicestershire on 6 May.

While Warwickshire fell 36 short of the home side’s 304, Ed seems to have found his batting form.

After scoring 38 in the previous Royal London Cup match vs. Lancashire Ed scored 57 in this final group game.

Chasing Leicestershire’s total, Ed opened the batting with Dom Sibley. The openers put on 71 in 10 overs before Sibley (21) was out lbw.

Ed’s first 50 of the season came in 47 balls (7 fours, 1 six). He scored a further 7 runs before being bowled with the Warwickshire score on 113.

This innings of 57, bettered Ed’s previous best of 56 vs. Nottinghamshire.

Elsewhere, Matt Critchley took 3 Worcestershire wickets in the high scoring Royal London Cup group game at the Pattonair County Ground, Derby. While Derbyshire scored a respectable 351 (Critchley 28) they lost the match by 4 wickets.
