Emirates Riverside – Ed Pollock was the star in Birmingham Bears Vitality Blast win over Durham. Chasing 153 via the Duckworth/Lewis Method, Ed smashed 77 runs to set up the victory.
On his return to the Bears team, Ed’s 50 came off 24 balls (7 fours, 2 sixes). When he was dismissed, his 45 ball 77 had put the Bears within touching distance of the win.
Ed’s 77 was his highest knock in Twenty20 matches. It passed his previous best of 66 set in July 2017 vs. Derbyshire.
