Ed’s Move

Ed Pollock will leave Warwickshire after signing a two-year contract with Worcestershire. Ed’s move will keep him at New Road until the close of the 2023 season.

At Warwickshire, Ed has gained a reputation for powerful hitting in T20s. Closing in on 1000 T20 runs, Ed has an impressive Strike Rate of 160.96 in this format.

This season, Ed scored his maiden List A century. Derbyshire were on the receiving end of his hitting when he posted 103* in the Royal London Cup.

Ed will be returning to familiar surroundings at New Road. Before moving to Warwickshire, he played for Worcestershire’s academy set-up.

His contract with Worcestershire covers all three formats which opens possibilities to play County Championship cricket.

Talking about his move Ed said,

“It feels like a good time to come back to Worcestershire and put together everything I’ve learnt here as a youngster and these last few years at Warwickshire.

I’ve always had that desire to want to improve and play and, whilst I’ve really enjoyed my time at Warwickshire, there has been no real opportunity to play red-ball cricket.

I want to play all formats of cricket”
