The England Selectors have today announced a squad of 14 for the 1st Ashes Test. Phoenix Management Group family members Joe Root (Captain), Ben Stokes (Vice-Captain), Jos Buttler and Stuart Broad are included in the squad.
Ben will take over the vice-captaincy from Jos.
While Ben and Jos were rested for England’s win over Ireland at Lord’s, Stuart showed he was in good form. He took 4 for 19 during Ireland’s second innings collapse.
The Ashes opener begins 1 August at Edgbaston.
