Glowing Performances

The gloom and rain of the past three days has not stopped glowing performances from the Phoenix family in the Royal London Cup.

Ed Pollock scored his maiden List A century. Kasey Aldridge took 3-39 and recorded his best List A bowling return. While Scott Borthwick made 76 off 86 balls.

Derbyshire vs. Warwickshire

Warwickshire gained a second Royal London Cup victory with an 8 wicket win over Derbyshire.

Due to rain in Derby, the overs were recalculated before Derbyshire posted 200-9 off 42 overs.

Ed Pollock guided Warwickshire to victory with his maiden List A century. Opener Ed was at the heart of the Warwickshire innings from beginning to end. He finished on 103no (1 six, 10 fours) off 115 as Warwickshire eased to victory.

Somerset vs. Glamorgan

In just his second List A match, Kasey Aldridge returned figures of 3-39 as Glamorgan fell two runs short.

Chasing 181, Glamorgan required six runs from the final ball. The ball crossed the boundary for a four giving Somerset the win.

Prior to this tense conclusion, Kasey broke the potential match winning Root-Cullen partnership on the way to recording his best List A bowling figures.

Middlesex vs. Durham

Durham defeated Middlesex by two runs in a rain-affected match at Radlett.

Scott Borthwick (76) top scored for Durham who finished their innings on 288-9.

The Middlesex innings was interrupted by rain. The DLS formula came into play and the recalculated target resulted in a four over thrash.

Scott conceded just four runs from one of the overs. While Middlesex came close to victory, their efforts fell two runs short (Scott Borthwick 1-28).

Durham vs. Gloucestershire

After their win at Radlett, Durham lost to Gloucestershire by 4 wickets.

In a high scoring match, Durham set Gloucestershire 336 for the win. The visitors achieved their target with two balls remaining, finishing on 336-6 (Scott Borthwick 2-59).
