Good News for James

It’s good news for James Vince. James is one of fourteen players announced by England’s National Selectors for the three ODI’s vs Ireland. While Liam Livingstone was also named as one of the three reserves.

The squad was selected from a 24 player group who entered bio-secure training at the Ageas Bowl on 16 July.

In yesterday’s England Lions vs. Ireland 50 over tour match, James made 66 (12 fours) for the Lions before retiring not out. James was a member of England’s 2019 World Cup winning squad playing in three matches.

Liam also played in the behind-the-doors tour match scoring 28 runs and taking 1 wicket.

With England Head Coach Chris Silverwood in charge of the test team, the ODI squad will be led by Paul Collingwood.

The England vs. Ireland ODIs will all be played at the Ageas Bowl starting Thursday 30 July. The three match series will set in motion the World Cup Super League. Final placings in the Super League will determine qualification for the 2023 World Cup which will be held in India.
