James Lands 4 Year Deal

Southampton – James Vince, commits his future to Hampshire.  www.ageasbowl.com announced James had signed a new four-year contract extension. The deal keeps him at the ageas Bowl until 2022.

James County Championship debut came in June 2009 vs. Notts. He soon established a reputation as a right-hand batter with the potential to compete at the highest level. In 2010, James scored is maiden century vs Yorkshire, hitting an impressive 280 in 205 balls (24 fours,3 sixes).

To date, James has scored over 9000 first-class runs (AVG 38.86) and close to 9000 runs in white ball matches. In 2014, he was appointed county captain.

At international level, James has scored over 548 runs in 13 test matches (highest score 83). He has made 13 appearance for the national side, in ODIs and T20s.

James will expect a brisk start to 2019, to stake a spot in the England team for both the upcoming Ashes series and the ICC Cricket World Cup.
