Joe Hits 139 for Outlaws

Trent Bridge – Good Friday was a very good day for Joe Clarke. In the Royal London Cup match vs. Lancashire, Joe’s 139 was a significant contribution in Notts Outlaws total of 417-7

Opening the batting with Ben Slater, Joe’s 139 was scored in 99 balls (17 fours, 5 sixes) at a Strike-Rate of 140.40. The pair scored 197, before Joe was bowled by Saqib Mahmood in the 26th over.

This was Joe’s highest score in List A matches. His previous best being 131no vs. Gloucestershire in 2015.

Lancashire’s 406-9, fell 11 runs short, giving the Outlaws a win in their first Royal London game of 2019.

It was an equally good Friday for other members of Phoenix Management Group.

James Vince scored 95 in Hampshire’s win over Glamorgan. Matt Critchley was 64no in Derbyshire’s win. While Nick Gubbins made 56 for Middlesex in the defeat of Essex.
