Jos and James in Rich Form

Southampton – There was yet another World Cup warm up game for England on Saturday.  While England fell short by 12 runs to Australia, both Jos Buttler and James Vince continued to mine their rich vein of batting form.

England captain Eoin Morgan sat out the match with a finger injury, giving Jos a further opportunity to lead the team.

Australia batted first scoring 297. In reply, England were all out for 285 in the 49th over.

Batting at 3, James made 64 in 76 balls (5 fours) and Jos made a quick-fire 52 (5 fours, 3 sixes).

While James was playing for England, his county Hampshire lost to Somerset in the final of the Royal London Cup at Lord’s. Mason Crane made 27no with the bat. This was Mason’s highest score in ListA matches, bettering his previous best of 21.
