Josh’s Match Winning 95

Hobart – Josh Philippe’s value continues to rise. Josh’s match-winning 95 runs guided Sydney Sixers to a comfortable 145 run win over Melbourne Renegades.

While falling 5 runs short of his first T20 century, Josh had the satisfaction of helping the Sixers set a stiff target of 206 for a Renegades win.

Josh’s Player of the Match performance started at a trot, he took 24 balls to reach 27. He then galloped to his 50 (1 six 4 fours) off 36 balls.

During his innings, Josh passed his previous highest score of 86 in T20 matches as-well-as adding two 50 run partnerships with Daniel Hughes (32) and then Jordan Silk (45).

Josh was eventually dismissed in the final over of the Sixers innings, his 95 (3 sixes, 9 fours) coming off 56 balls. Yet again, Josh showed he will be a key asset in the Sixers challenge to become consecutive BBL champions.

Batting second, the Renegades were dismissed for a paltry 80 runs in the eleventh over. The 145 run winning margin recorded by the Sixers, being the largest in BBL history.
