Geelong – Liam Livingstone’s bat was on fire at the GMHBA Stadium (7 January), with one of his four sixes hitting the stadium roof. This was not, however, a one hit innings. Liam’s 59 helped Perth Scorchers to a third BBL 09 victory over winless Melbourne Renegades.
After the Renegades posted 175-5, Liam and fellow opener Josh Inglis (51) put on 101 for the first wicket in 10 overs.
Liam’s 59 was hit off 39 balls (3 fours, 4 sixes). His blistering innings was recognised with the Player of the Game award.
This was the second time in seven innings that Liam has hit over 50 in BBL 09. Prior to today’s 59, Liam scored 69 vs. Adelaide Strikers in December.
