Ed Pollock has scored a magnificent maiden century in List A matches. The Warwickshire opener was unbeaten on 103 in the DLS calculated 8 wicket defeat of Derbyshire on Tuesday (27 July).
After a bright start, Derbyshire faded and finished their innings on 200-9.
Ed reached his third List A half-century off 61 balls (6 fours). On reaching 58, he passed his previous List A highest of 57 set against Leicestershire back in May 2019.
Together with fellow opener Rob Yates (60), Ed made a Warwickshire victory a near nailed on certainty after sharing a 121 first wicket partnership.
It took Ed 115 balls to secure a maiden century (10 fours, 1 six) in his eighteenth List A match.
In defeating Derbyshire, Warwickshire claimed their first Royal London Cup win of 2021. Passing the calculated chase of 205, Warwickshire ended on 207-2 with Ed scoring 103 of those runs.
