Taunton – Marcus Trescothick has signed on for his 2019 season at Somerset. The 42-year-old opening left-hand bat, will look forward to his twenty-seventh season at the Cooper Associates County Ground.
Marking his Somerset first-class debut in May 1993, Marcus has played in 385 games, accumulating 26089 runs (AVG 41.47).
He was awarded his cap in 1999 and appointed Somerset captain between 2010-2015.
In 2018, Marcus played in 10 first-class games, scoring a century in May (vs. Lancashire). In September, he passed 26000 first-class career runs (vs. Hampshire).
