Notts sign Joe Clarke

Phoenix Management Group announce that Nottinghamshire have acquired the services of right hand bat Joe Clarke on a four year contract. He will wrap up his tenure with Worcestershire at the end of the 2018 season.

Twenty-two year old Joe, was a member of the winning Worcestershire side which lifted the Vitality Blast trophy earlier this month.

Joe made his debut for Worcestershire in May 2015.

To date, he has made 3812 runs (AVG. 40.12) in 60 first class red ball games, scored a century 12 times. A highest score of 194 (329 balls, 25 fours, 1 six) in 444 minutes came in a County Championship (Division 2) game vs. Derbyshire in 2016.

In white ball cricket, Joe has made 1390 runs (AVG. 33.09) in A List games, scoring  131 (109 balls, 10 fours and 3 sixes) in a Royal London One-Day Cup vs Gloucestershire. In T20 he has hit 1020 runs (AVG. 26.82) in 42 matches.

At international level, Joe made his under-19 England debut in 2013 before playing in the under-19 World Cup (2014).  In 2015, he went on to make his first appearance for England Lions vs Pakistan A.
