Five Phoenix family members have been named in England Men’s red-ball training group for the three test series vs. the West Indies. The Phoenix five are:
- Joe Root
- Ben Stokes
- Stuart Broad
- Jos Buttler
- Zak Crawley
The Phoenix five will form part of a 30 player group. The group will enter a ‘behind-closed-doors” training camp at the Ageas Bowl starting 23 June.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the group will live and train at the Ageas Bowl in the lead up to the first test which starts on 8 July.
The ECB have also announced that England Men’s Assistant Coach Paul Collingwood will head the ODI team for the pencilled in three match series vs. Ireland.
