Four Phoenix family members have been named in the England Men’s squad for the first #raisethebat test vs. the West Indies. The Phoenix four are: Ben Stokes (captain), Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler (wk) and Zak Crawley.
A squad of thirteen players and nine reserves was announced today (4 July). This follows a successful three day intra-squad match at the Ageas Bowl.
Due to the absence of Joe Root, Ben will take charge of the Three Lions for the first time. While Jos will assume the vice-captain duties,
The first test will take place at the Ageas Bowl starting Wednesday 8 July.
