Chelmsford – Sarah Taylor has now passed 4000 ODI runs for England. In the third ICC Women’s Championship match vs the West Indies Sarah hit a 61 ball 70 (7 fours). When reaching 15, Sarah achieved the 4000-run landmark.
Reduced to a 39 over per side match England made 258-4. With England 84-1 in the 16th over, Sarah stepped out to join Amy Jones (80). Together they added 87 runs in 73 balls for the second wicket. Sarah was the fourth batter out with England on 220.
England went on to win by 135 runs (Duckworth/Lewis Lewis).
Over the last seven days, England have now won three ODI’s against the West Indies and claimed 6 points in their pursuit of ICC Women’s Championship.
England and the West Indies now move on to a three match T20 series.
