Scott Borthwick is the new Durham County Championship captain. Scott will lead Durham during their 2021 LV+ Insurance County Championship campaign, starting 8 April vs. Nottinghamshire.
Scott returned to Durham at the end of the 2020 season, after leaving the Emirates Riverside for Surrey back in 2016. During his three seasons at The Kia Oval, Scott score four first-class centuries and took thirteen wickets.
Since making his debut for Durham in 2009, Scott has scored over 9000 runs and taken 200 plus wickets in first-class matches.
