Second Hundred 50

Liam Livingstone smashed his second Hundred 50 and helped Birmingham Phoenix to a 16 run win over Trent Rockets.

Without heavy scoring Moeen Ali, the Phoenix fans looked to Liam for the big hits. He did not disappoint them, just 31 balls into his knock, they were celebrating Liam’s second half-century in the competition.

Liam sent the ball to the boundary seven time with three shots clearing the ropes.

Attempting to clear the boundary for a fourth time, Liam was caught at long-off with 50 against his name and the Phoenix on 102.

On the way to his 50, Liam and opener Finn Allen (29) shared a crucial second wicket 71 run partnership.

This was Liam’s second 50 in The Hundred. Back in July, he took 68* runs off the Southern Brave bowlers.

The Phoenix batters went on to hit 166-6 off their 100 balls.

In front of their home supporters, the Rockets finished on 150-9  – giving the Phoenix their first away win.

This win, and a 100% home record, now takes the Phoenix to the top of The Hundred standings with one match to play.
