Stuart Smashes Bowling

Johannesburg – Stuart Broad smashed the South African bowling to all parts of the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium today (25 January). His 43 runs helped England to post 400 all out in their first innings of the fourth test.

Stuart and Mark Wood (35no) shared a tenth wicket partnership of 82, taking the score from 318-9 to 400.

Batting at number 11, Stuart’s 43 (2 fours, 4 sixes) came off just 28 balls.

Earlier in the innings fellow Phoenix family member, and England Captain, Joe Root, made yet another half-century for his country. Joe’s 59 (6 fours) included the landmark of passing 7500 test match runs.
