While Gloucestershire comfortably defeated Birmingham Bears, Ed Pollock showed why he is one of the most destructive batters in T20 cricket. 18 of Ed’s 21 runs came from 3 sixes and let’s not forget that his strike rate of 170.86 is the highest in the world for T20.

Sussex (0) vs. Kent (2)

Kent left Hove as leaders of the South Group after a tense 1 run win in the final over. Batting first Kent made 195-5 thanks to Zak Crawley’s 67 (6 fours, 2 sixes). Since Zak’s return from Test match duties, he has scored 152 runs in 4 Vitality Blast innings.

Yorkshire (2) vs. Durham (0)

In the North Group, Durham remain bottom after losing to Yorkshire by 29 runs. Joe Root scored a 20 ball 25 and took two Durham wickets, leaving Yorkshire 2 point behind the group leaders Nottinghamshire.
