Zak Zaps 66

Johannesburg – Zak Crawley zapped 66 runs in the fourth test vs. South Africa. His 66 (11 fours), was Zak’s highest score to date.

The Kent opener has shown progress with each innings. There can be no doubt that Zak is growing into his international role. His powerful drives were complemented with shots all around the wicket.

This was not only Zak’s highest test score, he also passed 2000 first-class runs during his innings.

After a rain delayed start, Zak shared a 107 run opening partnership with Dom Sibley (44).  This was the first century opening partnership for England since December 2017.

At the close of play on the first day England were 192-4 with Joe Root 25no.
