Sydney – It’s been a summer of runs in the Sheffield Shield for Moises Henriques. Over nine innings, Moises has scored three centuries and 549 runs. His latest century came today vs. Victoria and helped to put NSW in control.
After a rain affected first day at the Bankstown Oval, Victoria resumed on 168-7. They added just 22 runs, posting a first innings total of 190.
NSW were 54-4 when Moises walked out to bat. Along with Peter Nevill (74) Moises added 219 runs, giving NSW control of the match.
Moises’ innings was composed of shots made around the wicket. He reached his half-century with a lofted straight drive for six, one of three sixes in his innings.
As tea approached, Moises guided the ball fine behind leg, to claim his third century of the summer.
Moises went on to score 141 (3 sixes, 17 fours) off 202 balls before being bowled by Scott Boland.
