Joe Root passed 6500 ODI runs during England’s final bow in the 2023 World Cup.
In the 93 run win over Pakistan, Joe scored 60 (4 fours) off 72 balls. Along the way, Joe passed 6500 ODI runs as-well-as 1000 World Cup runs. Together, with Ben Stokes (84), Joe shared a 96 run partnership for the third-wicket before England went on to post 337-9.
While England landed back-to-back victories in their final two matches, overall its been a disappointing World Cup for the defending Champions.
England Men’s white ball teams will return to action in December’s ODI and IT20 series against the West Indies. Joining captain Jos Buttler in the ODI squad are Zak Crawley and Liam Livingstone. While Jos and Liam are named for the IT20 series.
