All the Difference

Nat Sciver-Brunt’s well-paced 60* was all the difference in the inaugural WPL Final.

In a tense Final at the Brabourne Stadium, Nat was calmness personified. A slow burner, Nat’s inning’s was crafted to take Mumbai Indians over the finishing line.

An all important stand of 72 between Nat and Harmanpreet Kuar (37) for the third wicket was the turning point, but not the end.

Entering the seventeenth over and with Mumbai on 95-2, Kaur was run-out. This left Nat and the Indians on the cusp of victory but with work still to do.

As the second most expensive recruit to the WPL, Nat showed her true value by calmly guiding the Indians to a Final victory in the last over.

Pacing the innings impeccably, Nat hit the winning runs with 3 balls to spare to give the Indians a 7 wicket win over Delhi Capitals.

Nat’s crucial inning’s was rewarded with yet another WPL Player of the Match award.
