Ben’s Final ODI

Ben Stokes is set to retire from one-day internationals. Tuesday’s opening match against South Africa will be Ben’s final ODI appearance.

Ben made his announcement earlier today, citing the need to manage his workload – he will also miss this year’s Hundred.

His last ODI will fittingly be on home turf at Durham’s Riverside Ground.

For many fans, the highlight of Ben’s ODI career will be his batting heroics during the Lord’s World Cup final in 2019.

To date, Ben has played in 104 ODI, scoring 2919 runs and taking 74 wickets.

While bringing his ODI career to a close, Ben will be available for England’s future IT20 campaigns.

Ben will also continue to lead England ‘s Test team. His tenure has made a headline grabbing start with England completing four explosive wins from Ben’s first four Tests in charge.
