Best Possible Start

Zak Crawley got off to the best possible start for the Perth Scorchers.

In his first BBL game for the Scorchers, Zak smashed 65* runs (1 six, 6 fours) off 46 balls against Hobart Hurricanes. This was Zak’s highest BBL score to date. His previous best (54*) was, ironically, made for the Hurricanes during the 2022/23 BBL.

Batting first, the Hurricanes posted 172-8. Zak and Aaron Hardie (85*) then added 157 unbeaten runs to give the Scorchers a comfortable nine-wicket victory.
