Captain George

Worcester – Captain George Hill, had the great honour to lead England’s U19s (22 July) for the first time against Bangladesh in their Tri-Nation Series.

The previous day, England faced India U19s and lost by 5 wickets at the Blackfinch New Road ground.

George and the England players were looking for an improved performance in their 50 over match vs Bangladesh yesterday.

It was not to be. The Bangladesh side were just too strong.

In his first official match leading England, George saw his team make 200-7 in their allotted overs.

The Bangladesh batters reached their target in 38.1 overs, scoring 204-4 and claiming a 6-wicket victory.
