ESPNcricinfo reports that Phoenix Management Group’s Ed Pollock tops the table for the fastest run scorer in T20. Fast Ed has an SR of 174.93 which betters even the blistering Andre Russell (SR 171.29).
While Russell has made close to 50 appearances in international T20, Ed has made just twenty-nine T20 appearances for the Birmingham Bears.
As an unknown rookie, Ed announced his T20 career with a bang. On his debut, he smashed a rapid 40 ball 66 (5 fours, 6 sixes) vs Derbyshire in 2017. He has since topped 50 plus runs in T20s four times.
His highest T20 score of 77 (8 fours, 3 sixes) off 45 balls was blasted last August vs. Durham.
Aware of his quick-fire scoring, Manchester Originals drafted Ed alongside fellow Phoenix family members Jos Buttler and Joe Clarke for the now postponed inaugural Hundred competition.
