On a rain-affected first day at Taunton, Tom Lammonby completed his first Championship century in 2023.
Attacking the Kent bowlers on a green pitch, the Somerset opener required just 52 balls to reach fifty.
Tom put on 73 with fellow opener Tom Abell (20) for the first wicket giving Somerset a solid start.
While still playing attacking shots, Tom’s second 50 came at a slightly slower pace. His first century of the season, and fifth in total, coming off 132 balls.
Tom was caught off the bowling of Bell-Drummond for 109 (16 fours) – his century taking him beyond 2000 First Class runs.
