It’s now four IPL centuries in 2022 for Jos Buttler. His fourth ton was pivotal in Rajasthan Royals defeat of Royal Challengers Bangalore and a place in Sunday’s final.
After a red hot streak of form, there were rumblings that Jos’ hitting had cooled. In the two qualifiers he silenced his critics by scoring 89 and then following up with this century. Jos took just 59 balls to blast his way to 100 runs. He was still their at the end of the Royals innings, finishing on 106* (6 sixes, 10 fours).
In 2022 Jos averages 58.86 in the IPL and is assured the leading run scorers Orange Cap. His fourth century (and fifth IPL 100 in total) takes his season’s run tally to an impressive 824 runs.
Jos and the Royals will face Gujarat Titans in the decider.
