Good Times Keep Rolling

The good times keep rolling for Joe Root.

Following on from his two centuries in June against New Zealand, Joe scored a fourth innings 142* to help England secure a seven wicket win over India.

In a series spanning across two English seasons, Joe came into the final Test against India having scored 396 runs off the New Zealand bowlers.

At present, no fourth innings total seems beyond England. Set 378 to win, Joe and Jonny Bairstow (114*) saw England home with the minimum of fuss on the fifth morning at Edgbaston.

The Root-Bairstow partnership added 269 runs for the fourth wicket to allow England to claim their fourth straight Test victory of the summer.

This year, in home Tests, Joe has accumulated 569 runs from eight innings. And, in the season hopping series against India he amassed an impressive 737 runs.

When it comes to Joe’s current batting form, every England fan will wish that the good times just keep rolling on.
