Joe Root now tops the ICC Test Batting standings. Joe heads the rankings after an outstanding 2021 with the bat.
Replacing Kane Williamson (New Zealand) as the ICC’s number one Test batter, Joe has scored over 1300 runs this year.
He returns to the top of the standings for the first time since 2015, after producing some headline grabbing innings.
On six occasions Joe has passed 100. Impressively, this includes double centuries earlier this year in Sri Lanka and India.
In the current home series against India, Joe has been England’s standout batter having scored centuries in each of the first three Tests.
