Joe Clarke will fly to Perth for the start of BBL10. Joe joins the Scorchers as a short-term replacement for Jason Roy.
The Nottinghamshire batter was the fifth-highest run-scorer in the 2020 Vitality T20 Blast with a strike rate of 175. Joe’s performances were key in helping the Outlaws to their second Blast title on Finals Day back in October.
Both Roy and Liam Livingstone will miss the first three matches of the Scorchers’ campaign after being selected for the England squad that travels to South Africa next week.
Scorchers Head Coach Adam Voges said;
“It’s unfortunate we won’t have our English players Liam and Jason for the early window of the summer, but we have been planning around that since the tour was earmarked and are very excited to welcome Joe to the side.
“Joe has performed really well in T20 cricket recently and we’re excited about what he can bring to the Scorchers.”
