Coffs Harbour – Josh Philippe hits another 80 plus innings, taking Sydney Sixers to their fifth win in BBL 09.
The Sixers first home match held outside Sydney, proved to be a home from home for Josh in their seven-wicket win vs Adelaide Strikers.
Chasing down the Strikers 176-6 the Sixers wicket-keeper batter led the way with a fearsome 83no.
Josh’s 83no (5 fours, 4 sixes) came off 52 balls. This was the third time Josh has passed 80 runs for the Sixers in BBL 09. During his unbeaten innings he also passed 500 runs in T20 matches.
A recruit to the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2020 IPL, Josh’s BBL form has started to cause a stir in the Indian media.
