Nat Sciver-Brunt picked up the Player of the Match award as England Women got their T20 World Cup bid off to a winning start.
Batting first, West Indies scored 135-7 from their 20 overs at Paarl’s Eurolux Boland Park.
England were positive in the run chase, with Nat scoring 40* (1 six, six fours) off 30 balls. Dominant throughout, England comfortably took the victory in the fifteenth over.
Returning after a shoulder injury, Alice Capsey contributed 13 runs off 9 balls during England’s innings.
