A career best 90no for George Hill in List A matches helped Yorkshire to defeat Leicestershire. While George was appearing in his second List A match, Scott Borthwick led Durham to a Royal London Cup victory in his hundredth game.
After scoring 15 in Yorkshire’s loss to Surrey, George Hill crafted a List A best 90no against Leicestershire. George’s 172 run partnership with Harry Duke (125) for the third wicket was crucial to Yorkshire gaining a 7 wicket win.
Durham captain Scott Borthwick played in his hundredth List A match last Thursday (22 July). Scott took four catches as Kent fell to a 103 run defeat to Durham.
Kasey Aldridge made his List A debut for Somerset in the match against Derbyshire on Sunday (25 July). Returning figures of 1-40 off 8 overs, Kasey helped Somerset to a comfortable 6 wicket win.
Also on Sunday, George Balderson made his List A debut as Lancashire took on Gloucestershire. George (14no) was in at the end as Lancashire ran out winners by 6 wickets.
Warwickshire are without a win in the Royal London Cup. In Warwickshire’s opening match they fell to a two wicket defeat to Glamorgan (Ed Pollock 15). They then lost to Nottinghamshire by 86 runs on Sunday (Ed Pollock 16).
