A Record-Breaker

Nat Sciver-Brunt is a record-breaker.

Nat is now the record-holder for the fastest ODI century by an England Women’s player.

Nat required just 66 balls to post three figures against Sri Lanka at Leicester. Her 66 ball century took four balls less than the previous record held by Charlotte Edwards.

It was not all plain sailing for stand-in Captain Nat. Together with Maia Bouchier (95), Nat was needed to stear England’s innings around. Worringly, the home side were 18-2 before the pair added an impressive 193 runs for the third wicket.

Nat went on to hit 120 (1 six, 18 fours) off 74 balls, helping England reach 273-8.

The bowlers then ensured a convincing 161 run win to secure a 2-0 series defeat over the visitors.
