Ed’s previous best of 112 was scored off 122 balls in this season’s opener against Leicestershire.
In comparison, in the defeat of Middlesex Ed reached his half-century off 40 balls. Just 27 balls later he had reached three figures, before going on to better his previous highest score by 1 run.
